Last Friday we went out for our nature study to a local park near the beach,  It is located right next to a injured turtle hospital.  It is a great free kids activity we frequent often.

This  a 20 year old turtle that was injured by a boat propeller.  It will never recover and have to live in captivity for the rest of its  80 year life span.

These are baby hatchlings that never made it to the surf.  The will be re released in a few days.

This is a sculpture of a prehistoric turtle found in a North Dakota lake bed.  It is massive.
